Paulino do Livramento Évora

Paulino do Livramento Évora CSSp (born June 22, 1931 in Praia ; † June 16, 2019 in Praia) was a Cape Verdean religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Santiago de Cabo Verde .

Life

Paulino do Livramento Évora joined the religious community of Spiritans and was ordained a priest on December 16, 1962 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Santiago de Cabo Verde on April 21, 1975 . The Bishop of Malanje , Eduardo André Muaca , donated him episcopal ordination on June 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francisco Esteves Dias OSB , Bishop of Luso , and Zacarias Kamwenho , Auxiliary Bishop in Luanda .

On July 22, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.

He died in mid-June 2019, shortly before his 88th birthday.
