Paweł Cieślik (Bishop)

Paweł Cieślik (born July 15, 1940 in Czernice ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Koszalin-Kołobrzeg .

Life

The auxiliary bishop in Gniezno , Jerzy Stroba , ordained him a priest on June 25, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on December 3, 1994 auxiliary bishop in Koszalin-Kołobrzeg and titular bishop of Britonia . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Jorge María Mejía , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops . As a motto he chose Evangelizare misit me ( Lk 4,18  EU ): "He has sent me to preach the Gospel [to the poor]".

On September 19, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
