The Pazmanitentempel was a large synagogue at Pazmanitengasse 6 in Vienna's 2nd district Leopoldstadt .
The 900 persons (550 and 350 seats) designed, warm air heated stamp was from 1911 to 1913 by architect Ignaz Reiser built (1863-1940) and as Emperor I Franz Josef homage temple inaugurated on 28 September 1913th
The building was destroyed during the November pogroms in 1938 . At this time, Norbert Brainin and his brother Hugo were in the Pazmanite Temple to say the funeral prayer for their deceased mother:
“On November 9, 1938, a number of Radau brothers and hordes came in front and set the house on fire. My brother and I walked out the back and home, unmolested. That was a key experience for us. "
