Pedro Brito Guimarães

Pedro Brito Guimarães (born February 22, 1954 in Canto do Buriti , Piauí ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Palmas .

Life

Pedro Brito Guimarães was ordained a priest on January 26, 1986 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of São Raimundo Nonato on July 17, 2002 . The Bishop of Oeiras-Floriano , Augusto Alves da Rocha , donated him episcopal ordination on September 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Celso José Pinto da Silva , Archbishop of Teresina , and Cândido Lorenzo González OdeM , Old Bishop of São Raimundo Nonato. He chose SITIO as the motto .

He was named Archbishop of Palmas on October 20, 2010 and was introduced to the office on December 17 of the same year.
