Per Åslund (born August 21, 1986 in Kil , Sweden ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Färjestad BK in the Svenska Hockeyligan since 2016 .

Career

Åslund began his career in 2001 in Sweden's fourth-highest division, Division 2, at Kils AIK , the club in his home town. Between 2002 and 2004 the attacker completed two seasons for the youth team from Färjestad BK in the junior league J18 Allsvenskan . He was then from the 2004/05 season for three years for Skåre BK in the third division Division 1 on the ice, before the left shooter moved back to Färjestad BK in the Elitserien during the current 2006/07 season and for the first time 34 games in the highest Completed league of Sweden. In the following years, Åslund developed into a regular player there and was instrumental in winning the championship title in the 2008/09 season with 12 scorer points in 13 play-off games . In the 2010/11 season the striker was again Swedish champions with Färjestad, scoring five hits and five assists in 14 play-offs. In the 2012/13 season , the Swede played his season with the highest points so far and was able to mark a total of 39 scorer points within the main round with 19 goals and 20 assists. In the following season he moved with Färjestad again in the final of the Swedish Championship , but this time had to admit defeat to Skellefteå AIK .

In March 2015, the Kölner Haie from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced the commitment of the Swedish national player. After the 2015/16 season he did not receive a contract extension and returned to Färjestad BK.
