Per Rosing-Petersen

Per Pilutaq Rosing-Petersen (* 1961 in Ilulissat ) is a Greenlandic politician .

Life

Per Rosing-Petersen is a trained pilot . He was elected as a single candidate for the Inatsisartut in the 1999 parliamentary election. In the same year he joined the Siumut . In 2002 he was not re-elected. He did not run in the subsequent elections.

In the general election in 2014 , he returned to politics. He was able to move into parliament for the newly founded Partii Naleraq . In the 2015 Folketing election , he ran in vain for a place in the Folketing .

In April 2016 he came under strong criticism when he described the economic situation as apartheid , since according to him 90% of the economy is controlled by Danes. He was expelled from the party in August 2016. In December 2016, he joined the Inuit Partii and was immediately appointed party leader. The party could not win a seat in parliament in 2014, but was now represented again in the Inatsisartut. He left the party in February 2017 after his proposal to merge the Partii Inuit and the Partii Naleraq had failed. A little later he was accepted back into the Partii Naleraq. In the general election in 2018 he was not re-elected.
