Pero Sudar (born July 3, 1951 in Bare, Yugoslavia , today Bosnia-Herzegovina ) is a Bosnian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna ( Sarajevo ).

Life

Pero Sudar attended grammar schools in Zagreb and Dubrovnik . He completed his philosophy studies in the archbishop's seminary of Vrhbosna. It was on June 29, 1977 Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vrhbosna to priests ordained. As a chaplain, he was pastorally active in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Komušina for two years . He then obtained his doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Urban University in Rome in 1985 . Since 1986 he has been Professor of Canon Law at the Theological Faculty in Sarajevo . At the same time he was the rain of the archbishop's seminary until 1989 .

On May 28, 1993, Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop and titular bishop of Selja . The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Vinko Puljic on January 6, 1994. co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Zagreb , Franjo Cardinal Kuharić , and the Bishop of Đakovo and Srijem , Ćiril Kos .

In 2005, Auxiliary Bishop Pero Sudar was awarded the Cardinal König Prize worth 10,000 euros for his work in the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna for the establishment and establishment of the European Schools.

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on October 18, 2019.
