Peter-Klaus Witkowski

Peter-Klaus Witkowski (born April 19, 1949 in Hann. Münden ) is a retired German general practitioner. D. From October 2006 until his retirement on September 30, 2008, he was Deputy Head of Office and Chief of Staff in the Medical Office of the Bundeswehr (SanABw) in Munich .

Life

Witkowski attended high school in his hometown and graduated from high school in 1968. After completing basic military service as a reserve officer candidate with the 43rd Panzer Grenadier Battalion in Göttingen , he studied biology and chemistry at the Georg-August University from 1969 to 1972 up to the intermediate diploma and then until 1977 in human medicine. During his studies he was promoted to lieutenant in the reserve after a military exercise in 1972 and rejoined the Bundeswehr as a medical officer candidate in 1973. After graduating, he completed his internship as a medical assistant in the civil association hospital in Hann in 1978 . Mouths; the doctorate followed a year later . After serving as a troop doctor in Panzerartilleriebataillon 45, he was brigade doctor of Panzergrenadierbrigade 4 from 1980 and 1983 . From 1983 to 1984 he was head of the medical center 209 and consulting medical officer of the Panzergrenadierbrigade 4. During his subsequent employment as head of inspection at the medical academy of the Bundeswehr (SanAkBw) in Munich until 1986 he was recognized as a specialist in occupational medicine . From 1986 to 1989 he was adjutant to the inspector of the sanitary and health system , from 1989 to 1993 he was a lecturer for sanitary and health systems in the specialist group for security policy and armed forces and at the same time the commissioner of the inspector of the sanitary and health system at the leadership academy of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg . From 1993 to 1995 he was chief physician at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Berlin. Various assignments followed as head of division in the Federal Ministry of Defense . After being used as commander of the Medical Academy of the Bundeswehr 2001 to 2003 he was then from 2003 to 2006 commander of the Medical Command IV in arc connected with the promotion to general physician . From 2006 until his retirement in 2008, he held the position of deputy head of office and chief of staff at the Bundeswehr Medical Service in Munich. He lives in Göttingen.

Awards

Witkowski was awarded the Bundeswehr Cross of Honor in Gold.
