Peter Hansen , also Hanssen (born July 6, 1686 in Schleswig , † March 23, 1760 in Plön ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and superintendent in Plön.

Life

Peter Hansen attended the cathedral school Schleswig and the Katharineum in Lübeck . He studied Protestant theology at the University of Kiel and graduated here with a master's degree in 1711 .

As court master he accompanied a young Herr von Reventlow to the University of Halle . After private tutor positions in Holstein, Schleswig and Denmark, he became a deacon (2nd pastor) in Lütjenburg in 1714 and pastor in Großenbrode in 1717 . In 1720 he was appointed chief pastor at the Nikolaikirche and assessor of the ducal consistory in Plön. In 1729, he was also given responsibility for the churches and schools in the Duchy of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön , which was soon followed by the title of superintendent. In 1730 he was also consistorial advisor and court preacher to Duke Joachim Ernst (Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön) .

Fonts

Peter Hansen was very productive literarily. In addition to personal papers, sermons and polemics, he also wrote works on regional history.
