Peter Heuer (born April 21, 1939 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR Football Association, and played there for SC Aufbau / 1. FC Magdeburg .

Athletic career

Before Heuer came to SC Aufbau Magdeburg at the age of 24 at the beginning of the football season 1963/64, he had played in the Magdeburg company sports club Turbine , most recently in the second-rate first GDR league . Heuer played his first competitive game for SC structure on August 18, 1963, the second league match day of the 1963/64 season, as a center forward in the match between SC Leipzig and SC structure (4-0). In total, Heuer was used three times this season, and he was not in the squad of the team that won the GDR soccer cup for the first time at the end of the season . Even when the Magdeburg team repeated their cup triumph in 1965, Heuer was missing from the final, but had played ten point games in the current season.

With the two cup wins, SC Aufbau had qualified for the competitions for the European Cup Winners' Cup. Heuer was called up in Magdeburg's first European Cup game. In the 1-1 draw at home against Galatasaray Istanbul, he scored the opening goal for his team. The second leg was also played with Heuer, and with his 1-1 equalizer he forced a third game against the Turks. This encounter also ended 1: 1 despite extra time. This time no goal was scored, and he had to see how the subsequent coin toss decided against his team. His fourth and last European Cup game played Heuer without scoring his own in the first leg of the first round of the 1965/66 season in the 1-0 victory of SC Aufbau over Spora Luxembourg .

The league season 1965/66 was the last season that Heuer completed for Magdeburg. On April 8, 1966, he stood for the last time on the field for 1. FC Magdeburg, which has now been newly founded from the soccer section of SC Aufbau, in the league match between FC Vorwärts Berlin and 1. FC Magdeburg (2-0). In his four years at the Magdeburg club, he had played 16 point games in which he scored four goals. He was also used in two national and four international cup games.

At the age of 27, Heuer moved to the fourth division BSG Lokomotive in Haldensleben in the summer of 1966 and immediately helped the team to advance to the Magdeburg district league . Even after his playing days, Heuer remained loyal to football. In 2008 he was a member of the Sports Court of the Saxony-Anhalt Football Association .
