Peter Kallwitz

Peter Kallwitz (born August 16, 1951 in Marl ) is a German photographer and short filmmaker who primarily takes photos in the international fashion, art and music scene.

Life

Kallwitz initially worked for newspapers and portrayed artists and automobile athletes. Among other things, he photographed German actors for Cinema magazine as part of a Doris Dörrie campaign for children in South America. Kallwitz worked with the musicians Mick Taylor , ( Rolling Stones ), Wolfgang Niedecken , ( BAP ), John Lee Hooker junior , Konstantin Wecker and Thomas Godoj , with whom he also realized three film projects. He photographed the painter Jörg Immendorff for Rolling Stone , Playboy (magazine) and Penthouse magazines, and the designer Luigi Colani also for Rolling Stone.

Kallwitz worked on various projects with the photographer and filmmaker Charles Wilp . This resulted in photo series for Rolling Stone, the lifestyle magazine Max (magazine) and Penthouse. Peter Kallwitz made a short film about Wilp for the Paris-Madrid Short Film Festival . He photographed various campaigns for kimono designer Gianni Sarto from Düsseldorf. With the haute couture fashion designer Tilmann Grawe from Paris, he staged a series of portraits with a futuristic headdress that Lady Gaga wore among others . For Basedow-Moden he had a shoot with the collection of the Indian designer Ranna Gill in an underground, dilapidated industrial building, which the video producer Marcus Brieg turned into an art film.
