Peter Kultzen

Peter Kultzen (born August 20, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German literary translator .

Life

Peter Kultzen spent his youth in Munich . He completed his studies in Romance and German in Munich, Salamanca , Madrid and Berlin , which he graduated from the Free University of Berlin with a master's degree in 1991 . He then worked as an editor and began translating . He also teaches German as a foreign language at the Volkshochschule Berlin Mitte . He has lived in Berlin with his family since 1985.

Peter Kultzen translates literary works from Spanish , Portuguese and English . He is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works . In 1994 and 2011 he received the "Translation Prize of the Spanish Embassy in Germany".
