Peter Mensah
Peter Mensah (born August 27, 1959 in Accra , Ghana ) is a Ghanaian- Canadian film actor .
Life
Peter Mensah comes from the Ashanti people and was born in Ghana as the eldest of three children of an engineer and a writer. At a young age he moved with his two younger sisters to the British county of Hertfordshire , where he lived in St Albans until the age of eleven . In 1981 he moved to Canada, where he has lived ever since.
Mensah has been in front of the camera as an actor since 1995. His repertoire mainly includes appearances in action and science fiction series, including Nikita , Mission Earth - You Are Among Us , Star Trek: Enterprise or Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles . Since the turn of the millennium, Mensah has also been hired to act in several commercially successful films, such as 300 or Hidalgo - 3000 Miles to Fame . In 2009 he starred in James Cameron's film Avatar - Departure for Pandora .
From 2010 to 2013 he was seen in the television series Spartacus . In February 2012, he landed a role as a diplomat in the HBO - Horror - Fantasy series True Blood .
