Peter Mueller (speed skater)
Peter Alan Mueller (born July 27, 1954 in Madison , Wisconsin ) is a retired American speed skater.
Like Eric Heiden, Mueller comes from the US speed skating stronghold of Madison. He was the first Olympic champion over the 1000 meter distance in 1976 at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck has been included in the program.
After his career he became a speed skating trainer for Bonnie Blair , Dan Jansen , Marianne Timmer and Claudia Pechstein , among others .
Mueller was married to the American speed skater Leah Poulos and the Dutch Marianne Timmer . He is divorced from both runners.
