Gaétan Boucher , OC , CQ (born May 10, 1958 in Charlesbourg , Québec ) is a retired Canadian speed skater .

At the Olympic Games in Sarajevo in 1984 he was Olympic champion in the 1,000 m and 1,500 m and won the bronze medal in the 500 m . He was also the first Canadian Olympic champion in speed skating.

At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , he had already won the silver medal over 1,000 m. 1984 was the most successful year of his career, which he crowned in addition to his two Olympic gold medals by winning the title at the Sprint World Championships.
