Peter Neumann (media manager)

Peter Neumann (born July 11, 1967 in Saarbrücken ) is a German journalist and media manager .

Peter Neumann grew up in St. Ingbert in the Saarland . He studied information science , political science and marketing at Saarland University . As a journalist he worked for the Saarbrücker Zeitung , Saarländischer Rundfunk , the private radio broadcaster Hitradio FFH , Frankfurt, and was program director of Radio Regenbogen , Mannheim, as well as editor-in-chief of SAT.1 in Mainz. In 1991 he won the Erich Voltmer Prize for young journalists from the Saarland Journalists Association (SJV). He is a member of the German Association of Journalists (DJV).

As a media manager, Neumann worked for the Georg von Holtzbrinck (GvH) publishing group , Dieter von Holtzbrinck Medien GmbH of the publisher Dieter von Holtzbrinck and the Styria Media Group in Graz , Austria . There he was in charge of the digital corporate divisions. Among other things, he founded the online news portal Zoomer.de in Berlin for the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group and also ran it as managing director . Since 2014, Peter Neumann has been Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and member of the board of AZ Medien AG in Aarau , Switzerland , later he held the same position on the board of CH Media AG , the joint venture between AZ Medien and the regional media of the NZZ media group . Neumann has been a CDO in the management of VRM in Mainz since mid-2020 . He also holds various board memberships in Switzerland . Neumann is married and has three children. He lives with his family in Mannheim .
