Peter Oskar Hildebrandt (born June 23, 1902 in Aachen ; † August 28, 1937 in Münstermaifeld ) was a German National Socialist journalist and local politician .

Life

Peter Oskar Hildebrandt was born in Aachen in 1902 as the son of an innkeeper. After attending the secondary school there , he passed the one-year volunteer certificate in Gießen in 1917 . From 1920 he worked for the city of Aachen, first as an office worker, then as a civil servant. There he rose to the middle service . Most recently he worked at the district's waterworks.

From 1928 to 1930 he tried his hand at working as a freelance journalist and wrote articles for the Völkischer Beobachter and the attack . On July 1, 1930, he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 321.884) and the SA . In 1930 he became editor (editor) of the West German observer and then switched to the Koblenzer Nationalblatt on March 1, 1931 , where he was editor-in-chief (main editor) from October 1, 1931 to May 31, 1933.

He then became acting head of the Gaupresseamts in the Koblenz-Trier district ; thereafter he was deputy director from June 1 to November 15, 1933. On November 18, 1933, he was appointed mayor of Münstermaifeld . From 1934 he was also the local group leader of the NSDAP and at the same time district training leader and deputy district leader of Mayen . He held these offices until his death on August 28, 1937. He died of a cerebral haemorrhage that had occurred the day before during a speech in Kattenes .

During his tenure, Hildebrandt was charged twice, on the one hand for continued infidelity , but this ended in an acquittal. His second offense was a physical dispute in Koblenz, which was punished with a disciplinary penalty and a warning.
