Peter Paul Gantzer
Peter Paul Gantzer (born November 20, 1938 in Breslau ) is a German SPD politician . He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1978 to 2018 and was its senior president in 2008 and 2013 .
Life and work
Gantzer did his military service from 1959 and regularly took part in military exercises with reservist units. Most recently (1993) he was Colonel d. R. Commander of the 86th Jägerregiment Altbayern.
From 1961 Gantzer studied law in Munich. From 1972 to 2005 he was a notary in Munich. He has been a lecturer since 1976 and an honorary professor for civil law and land registry law at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich since 1991. From 1996 to 2008 he was President of the German-Spanish Lawyers Association. Gantzer is the author of legal articles and books, u. a. of the work "Spanish Real Estate Law", the German standard work on Spanish property law.
Peter Paul Gantzer is a passionate skydiver , with over 4000 jumps. He is the co-owner of several Bavarian, German and world records in free-fall formation jumping in the largest formation category and the North Pole formation record .
He is married and has two sons. He lives in hair .
politics
Gantzer has been a member of the SPD since 1969 . From 1974 to 1999 he was chairman of the SPD district association Munich-Land and a multiple district council member. He was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament in 1978 via the Upper Bavaria district list , to which he was a member until 2018. His main focus in parliamentary work was internal security, police issues and defense , he was a member of the Committee on Constitution, Law, Parliamentary Issues and Consumer Protection and the G10 Commission . In 2008 and 2013 Gantzer was senior president and from 2003 to 2009 he was vice-president of the state parliament. He is Honorary Commissioner of the Bavarian Police . Since May 2020 he has been a member of the local council in Haar near Munich.
