Peter "Bimbo" Rasym (born July 7, 1953 in Bitterfeld ) is a German musician. From 1997 he played the bass guitar with the Puhdys .

Life

When Peter Rasym was 14 years old, he was given his first guitar. At the age of 15 he played for the first time in a band in the Bitterfeld youth club. With the fall of the Wall , Rasym shared the fate of many GDR musicians; his musical qualities were no longer in demand.

In 1996 he took a job as a subcontractor for a freight forwarding company . In the same year Dieter Birr from the rock band Puhdys called Rasym and asked him if he didn't know a good bass player. The previous bass player, Harry Jeske , did not want to go on concert tours for health reasons. From 1997 on, Rasym was the bass player for the Puhdys until the band broke up. He has been representing the sick Jens Brüssow at Lift since 2016 .

Peter Rasym has been married since November 26, 2012 and has a son from the previous marriage. He lives with his wife and their daughter in Strausberg near Berlin.

He is currently on stage for Markus Schloussen, who died on December 1, 2019, together with Renft.
