Peter Rigler
Peter Paul Rigler (born June 28, 1796 in the Sarntal , † December 6, 1873 in Bozen ) was an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian, professor of moral and later for pastoral theology and spiritual at the seminary in Trento .
After the dissolution of the Trento community, he joined the community of the German order in 1842 and made solemn vows in the Deutschhauskirche in Bozen. As the founder of the priestly convent and spiritual director of the resurrected Institute of the Teutonic Sisters in Lana, he contributed significantly to the spiritual renewal of the order from within.
Rigler is also called the Angel of Tyrol . In Trento he was a confidante of Prince-Bishop Johann Nepomuk von Tschiderer, who was beatified in 1995 .
For years the Teutonic Order has endeavored to beatify its "second founder".
