Peter Rommel (film producer)
Peter Rommel (born October 12, 1956 in Stuttgart ) is a German film producer who has won the German Film Prize in gold and bronze, the Bavarian Film Prize and the Douglas Sirk Prize of the Hamburg Film Festival .
life and work
Rommel completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller . Afterwards he worked for the world sales and distribution of Ex Picturis for a few years . In 1993 he founded the film production company Peter Rommel Filmproduktion, which was later renamed Rommel Film . He founded the film production company Home Run Pictures in 1996 and the film financing company Shotgun Pictures in 2004 .
In 2001 Peter Rommel became a senior lecturer in production at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB).
In 2003 he was one of the founding members of the German Film Academy .
