Peter Schaub

Peter Schaub (born May 31, 1897 in Neunkirchen , † March 20, 1945 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Schaub was the son of a smelter. After attending primary school , Schaub was trained as a non-commissioned officer at the pre-school in Weilburg from 1912 to 1914 . From 1914 to the end of 1918 he took part in the First World War, in which he last fought as a fighter pilot on the Western Front . After being wounded several times, he was discharged from the army as a sergeant in the reserve in March 1920 on the basis of the Treaty of Versailles . During the war, Schaub was awarded the Iron Cross of both classes, the Wound Badge in black and the Front Pilot Badge in silver.

From October 1, 1920 to February 1, 1933, Schaub worked as a customs secretary at the customs administration in the Saar area . In February 1933 he said he was removed from service due to his work in the NSDAP, but was promoted to customs inspector again in 1935. He became a member of the NSDAP in 1932 and took on tasks as a block and cell warden for the party. From June 1933 he was the local group leader in Saarbrücken-St. Johann-Süd, district propaganda leader and from 1934 as regional manager and district leader at the German Front in Saarbrücken. As a functionary, he was also active in the National Socialist working group of civil servants in the Saar area.

On March 1, 1935, Schaub joined the National Socialist Reichstag in accordance with Section 2 of the Saarland Representation Act of January 30, 1935 , of which he was a member until March 1936. Although he ran again in the Reichstag elections on March 29, 1936 as mayor in Quiigart , but received no more mandate. From March to December 1935 he was district leader of the party in Saarlouis, then headed the main office "Social Institution" in the Gauamt for civil servants of the Saarpfalz district and from February 1941 until his death the office for civil servants in the Saarbrücken-Land district.
