Peter Wölpl
Peter Wölpl (born January 21, 1962 in Munich ) is a German guitarist of fusion jazz .
Peter Wölpl took classical guitar lessons from the age of eight. He later attended jazz courses. After graduating from high school, he became a professional musician straight away. He played in formations around Wolfgang Schmid since 1983 and also with Billy Cobham from 1989 to 2013 . In 1987 he worked on the television project " Super Drumming ". He belonged to different studio formations and has played with Klaus Lage since 1990 , from 1993 with Christoph Spendel and Michael Sagmeister at Die Dozent and from 1997 with Carola Gray . He also worked on recordings by Harald Rüschenbaum , Barbara Dennerlein , Thad Jones , Joy Fleming , Jörg Widmoser , Vladislav Sendecki and Benny Greb , but also worked as a studio musician with Falco , Pe Werner , Caterina Valente , Stephan Sulke and David Hasselhoff .
Peter Wölpl also works as a producer (e.g. Bruno Jonas / Klaus Lage ), composes for film and television and is also a lecturer for the Remscheid Academy , the Mannheim Pop Academy , the vocational school for music in the Middle Franconia district in Dinkelsbühl or the Schorndorfer Gitarrentage active.
