Super Drumming was a German music show on ARD , in which live music was presented in a special setting without an audience. The focus was on the drums and percussions . The series was presented and moderated in three seasons by drummer Pete York .

Stylistically, there was a change between rock, jazz, fusion, world music or musical, many pieces of music were covered or rearranged, and a few pieces were composed especially for the show. There was often a short interview with one of the drummers involved in each episode.

The title song was a version of George Gershwin's I Got Rhythm in the jazz-rock style.

The first broadcast of the first season was from February 8 to 20, 1987 on First German Television . It was recorded in a former parish church in Staig , Ulm . The second season was shown between June 14 and July 27, 1989 and the third between June 26 and July 31, 1990. The second and third seasons were recorded in the Völklinger Hütte , Saarland.
