Peter Wildenhain (born March 2, 1941 - † April 26, 2015 ) was a German football player. In 1965 he played for Chemie Leipzig in the GDR Oberliga , the highest league in GDR football .

Athletic career

After Peter Wildenhain had played with the Leipziger Betriebsportgemeinschaft (BSG) Motor West in the fourth class district class until 1965 , he moved to the top division club BSG Chemie Leipzig at the beginning of the 1965/66 season. There he was supposed to replace the striker Helmut Schmidt who had migrated to Lok Stendal . First, coach Alfred Kunze tried him in the two quarter-finals of the Intercup against SC Empor Rostock , once as a left winger, then as a right defender. A week later, Kunze left Wildenhain as Bernd Herzog's representativeplay in midfield and tried again on the next game day (8th). Wildenhain played one last time on matchday 12 in midfield in the league team. Wildenhain was not involved in the Leipzig Cup victory in 1966. Instead, Wildenhain played until the end of the 1966/67 season in the league reserve, with which he was GDR champion in 1967.

After the 1966/67 season, Wildenhain joined the BSG Motor Leipzig-Lindenau, which was represented in the third-class district league . There he played until 1970, after which, at the age of 29, he switched to the 1st district class at BSG Motor West Leipzig . He immediately helped the West Leipzigers to move up to the district class.
