Peter Zellmann

Peter Zellmann (born December 20, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian educationalist and heads the Institute for Leisure and Tourism Research (IFT) in Vienna.

Life

Zellmann studied pedagogy and psychology at the University of Vienna and initially became an AHS teacher for physical education and geography. In 1972 he co-founded the gymnastics and sports institute (TSA) at the pedagogical academies . Since 1987 he has been the scientific and administrative director of the Institute for Leisure and Tourism Research (IFT) in Vienna. From 1986 to 2003 he was professor of leisure education at the Pedagogical Academy and from 1996 to 2002 he was a lecturer every fourth semester at the University of Vienna as well as a lecturer at the universities of Potsdam, Bremen and the Vienna University of Economics for several years .

In addition to recreational sports and leisure education , he focuses on lifestyle and future research as well as advising politicians and companies. He planned the animation and recreational care courses for the HLA for tourism and recreational pedagogy for the Pedagogical Academies and created tourism concepts for regions and clubs. As the author of the annual Austrian tourism analysis , he is a cooperation partner of the BAT Foundation for Future Issues in Hamburg .
