The Petite rivière Péribonka is a right tributary of the Rivière Péribonka in the MRC Maria-Chapdelaine of the Canadian province of Québec .
The river has its source about 70 km north of Lac Saint-Jean in the center of the Labrador Peninsula . From there, the Petite rivière Péribonka flows mainly in a southerly direction through the landscape of the Canadian Shield . It flows into the Rivière Péribonka immediately before its confluence with Lac Saint-Jean. About 20 km above the estuary is the municipalité de village Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc on the river bank. The Petite rivière Péribonka has a length of 105 km. It drains an area of 1277 km². The mean discharge is 26 m³ / s.
Hydropower plants
A run-of-river power plant with a capacity of 1.2 MW was commissioned in 1998, 17 km above the mouth of the Chute Blanche .
