Petra Marieka Jacoba Hogewoning (born March 26, 1986 in Rijnsburg ) is a former Dutch soccer player .

Club career

Hogewoning began her career with the Rijnsburgse Boys in her hometown. At the age of 17, she switched to the Hoofd class , the highest women's division at the time, to the Dutch champion Ter Leede from Sassenheim . In her first season in 2004 she was able to defend the championship title with her club and also won the Super Cup. In 2007 the defender celebrated the double of the championship and the KNVB Cup with Ter Leede . After founding the Eredivisie , the left-back moved to FC Utrecht in 2007, but was rarely used in the 2007/08 season due to a torn cruciate ligament in August 2007. In September 2011, Hogewoning signed a one-year contract with FCR 2001 Duisburg . After the end of the 2011/12 season, she left the Bundesliga club FCR 2001 Duisburg and moved to the newly founded Ajax Amsterdam women's team. In the summer of 2016, she ended her active career with AFC Ajax Vrouwen.

National team

On August 6, 2004, Hogewoning made her debut for the national team . She was part of the Dutch squad at the European Championship finals in Finland and the 2015 World Cup in Canada . On September 17, 2015, she was substituted on for her 100th international match in an 8-0 friendly against Belarus. For the following games, etc. a. the UEFA qualifying tournament for the 2016 Olympic Games , it was then no longer taken into account.
