Petra Mardie Pape (* 25. December 1969 in Darmstadt as Petra Mardie Kübitz ) is a German musical artist and actress .

Life

Petra Madita Pape was born in Darmstadt as Petra Madita Kübitz and grew up in Bensheim in southern Hesse . There she graduated from high school in 1990 at the Old Electoral High School . After graduating from high school, she began her musical training at Studio Daniela Glück in Munich in 1990/91 . In 1994 she completed her training as a musical actress at the Stage School of Music, Dance & Drama in Hamburg . First appearances as a soloist with her own programs on the club ship Aida followed .

In 1997 she began her career as a musical actress. In 1997 she played the role of Princess Elisa, one of Napoleon's sisters, at the Theater Aachen in the premiere of the musical Catharine with Maya Hakvoort in the title role. For her portrayal she received a nomination for the Image Award in the category "Best Supporting Actress" in 1998.

She then played in 1997/98 in Les Misérables at the Musical Theater Duisburg and in 1999 the role of Sheila in Hair at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater . In 1990/2000 she played Magda in Tanz der Vampire at the Raimund Theater in Vienna under the direction of Roman Polański .

In 2000 she played Vi Petty / Tante in Buddy - Das Musical in Hamburg . Pape was part of Elisabeth's premiere in Essen in 2001/2002 . a. as understudy for the roles of Duchess Ludovika / Mrs. Wolf. In 2002 she played the roles of Konny and Garbo in Falco meets Amadeus at the TheatrO CentrO in Oberhausen and on the Wörtherseebühne Klagenfurt. In 2003 she appeared in the musical Vincent van Gogh by Gisle Kverndokk at the Theater Vorpommern as a female lead in the form of all four women (Eugenie, Kee, Sien, Rakel) in the life of Van Gogh .

On the Stage Holding tour of the musical Cats , she was one of the premiere cast in the 2004/05 season and played the roles of Grizabella, Griddlebone and Gumbie. At the Erfurt Cathedral Stage Festival in 2005 she appeared as Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar . At the Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel she appeared as Sally in the musical Harry & Sally in the summer of 2006 .

In 2007 she made her first guest appearance in Switzerland at the Thuner Seespiele ; she sang the Fantine in Les Misérables . In 2008 she played the leading female role of Ursula in the world premiere of Martin L. - The Musical at the Erfurt Cathedral Stage Festival, alongside Yngve Gasoy Romdal as Martin Luther . In 2009 Pape made a guest appearance at the Darmstadt State Theater as Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar . In 2010 she appeared at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck , again in Les Misérables in the role of Fantine.

Since 2009 Pape has also been working as a singing teacher and vocal coach in North Rhine-Westphalia .
