Petra Nováková (born August 17, 1993 in Karlsbad ) is a Czech cross-country skier .

Career

Nováková mainly participated in the Slavic Cup from 2009 to 2013. She achieved a podium seven times including three wins and finished fourth in the overall standings in the 2012/13 season. He ran her first World Cup race in February 2013 in Davos , which she finished with 48th place in the 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she finished 56th in the 10 km freestyle, 14th in the team sprint and 12th in the relay. At the Tour de Ski 2013/14 she reached 33rd place in the overall ranking. With 19th place at the sprint stage in Lenzerheide, she got her first World Cup points. Her best placings at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were 24th in the sprint and tenth in the relay. In the 2014/15 season she made it into the points four times in six World Cup appearances. At the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer at the beginning of the season, she finished 23rd. She finished the season in fourth place in the U23 World Cup. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she came 18th at the Nordic Opening in Ruka . At the following World Cup in Lillehammer, she came in the World Cup with sixth place in the skiathlon for the first time under the top ten. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , she won the bronze medal over 10 km classic. At the end of the season she finished 17th in the Ski Tour Canada and reached 25th place in the overall World Cup, 24th place in the Distance World Cup and fourth place in the U23 classification. The following year, she took 35th place in the sprint and 11th place in the relay at the 2017 Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti . She finished the Tour de Ski 2017/18 in 13th place. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she ran over 10 km freestyle and in the skiathlon in 28th place and with the relay and together with Kateřina Beroušková in the team sprint to 11th place. Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol were 28th place in the skiathlon and 11th place with the relay.
