Petra Schwarz (* 24. May 1972 in Vienna as Petra Ritter ) is a former Austrian tennis player .

Career

Petra Schwarz-Ritter played on the WTA Tour from 1987 to 1997 . She reached her highest place in the world singles ranking on January 9, 1995 with rank 52. Schwarz-Ritter won a tournament in doubles on the WTA Tour, namely in 1992 in Prague with Karin Kschwendt . She achieved her greatest success after victories over Lisa Raymond , Nathalie Tauziat , Miriam Oremans and Ruxandra Dragomir , before losing in the quarterfinals to Mary Pierce at the French Open in 1994.

Between 1988 and 1996 she played 22 times for Austria in the Fed Cup . Black Knight won eleven and lost eleven matches.

In 1992 she took part in the Olympic Games in tennis.

She ended her active career in 1997.

Schwarz-Ritter celebrated her success under her birth name Ritter.
