Petzenhofen is part of the community of Geltendorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The village of Petzenhofen is about five kilometers north of Geltendorf in the eastern part of the Paartal .

history

The village is first mentioned in documents in 1345.

Petzenhofen belonged to the Egling area of the sub-office of the Landsberg district court , in 1552 four properties are mentioned. The two whole courtyards and two sixteenth courtyards had been available for the Andechs Monastery since 1476 .

In 1752 only the two whole farms are mentioned, the sub-farmer and the Xanderhof.

After secularization , Petzenhofen came to the newly founded community of Walleshausen in the course of the community edicts in 1818 . With this, the village was incorporated into Geltendorf on July 1, 1972 .

Attractions

In Petzenhofen there is a catholic chapel Sankt Jacobus, a building from the 16th century.
