Parish Church Bad Häring
The Roman Catholic parish church Bad Häring is located in the municipality of Bad Häring in the Kufstein district in Tyrol . It is consecrated to St. John the Baptist and belongs to the Deanery Kufstein in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).
Location description
The parish church is in the center of the village. It is surrounded by a cemetery.
history
The church is first mentioned in a document in 1397. A church consecration in 1501 has been handed down. The core of the late Gothic church was redesigned in Baroque style in 1732 and extended to the east in 1877. In 1891 the church was elevated to a parish church. In 1970 a renovation took place.

On the north side of the nave is a slender church tower with a pointed gable roof. A sacristy annex adjoins the south side . There are corner pilaster strips on the tower, nave and choir . The west portal from the 16th century has a fluted arched reveal. On the door there are embossed copper reliefs by Elmar Kopp from 1965.

Inside, the three bays of the former Gothic nave are separated from three further bays, the former choir, by retracted triumphal arch pillars. The one-bay choir ends in a three-sided end from 1877. The Gothic vaults in the nave are sanded. The vault rests on baroque pilasters with cornices.
Furnishing
On the back wall of the choir is a late Gothic Madonna picture from around 1490. It is in a baroque frame. It is flanked by baroque chandelier angels from the third quarter of the 17th century. The figures of Saint John the Baptist, Johannes Ev. and a crucifix date from the 19th century. The figures of St. Catherine and St. Barbara date from the last quarter of the 18th century. The glass paintings were created between 1937 and 1940.
