architecture

The church is a medium-sized fortified complex. The church consists of a three-bay nave and a three-bay choir of the same height and width with a three-eighth end. A chapel was added to the south side around 1480. To the north of the choir is the sacristy with a chamfered rectangular window and an arched opening with an iron door. The tower with a high basement and a small, ogival window stands between the sacristy and the nave. Above it are the larger, ogival sound windows and a pointed gable helmet. The tower staircase is housed in the extension to the west of the tower with a beveled pointed arch portal and a pointed arch window. At the end of the choir and on the eastern slope of the chapel extension, delicate, simply stepped triangular buttresses support the building. The fresco on the outside of the north wall of the choir, fragmented by the opening of a window, is labeled "1488 - CPAMEGX" and was uncovered in 1945. The Annunciation , the Evangelist John and probably also the Resurrection are shown in a painted architectural frame . Outside on the east wall of the chapel annex, the preliminary drawing of a Gothic Christophorus has been preserved. The pointed arched, profiled south portal has an iron-studded door, as does the west portal.

In the nave, a ribbed vault with square and round keystones rises above circular services with capital rings . In the nave there is a two-story, wooden west gallery with wooden balustrade from the Baroque period on wooden pillars . The neo-Gothic organ built by Franz Grafenauer in 1882 is set up on its own northern side gallery. The mural depicting the Adoration of the Kings on the north wall of the nave was made around 1420/30, the fragment with the head of Christ in the 15th century. From the south wall of the nave a low, chamfered pointed arch arcade leads into the western of the two side chapels. In the square room there is a ribbed vault with heraldic keystones on consoles. The large lancet windows in the nave and in the side chapel were recently glazed. A retracted, grooved, pointed triumphal arch connects the nave with the choir. In the choir, a ribbed vault with a coat of arms rises above simple circular services with capitals. The ribs of the choir vault were chipped off in 1835 and restored during the restoration in 1969. The choir is lit through two high arched windows. A chamfered round arch portal on the north wall of the choir leads into the two-bay sacristy with irregular ridged vaults. A medium-high pointed arch arcade with a fluted reveal on the south side of the choir provides access to the Marienkapelle. A rib vault rests on consoles above the room with an irregular floor plan. The rib vault has a coat of arms keystone as well as recessed quadruple fields with half-figure depictions of Saints Catherine, Barbara and Erasmus. The original tracery has been preserved in the two pointed arched windows. The glass paintings from 1490 on the three-part window show a crucifixion group with Maria and Johannes , including Saint Barbara , flanked by Gandolf von Khuenburg and his wife Dorothea. The stained glass of the two-part window was created at the same time and depicts the Apostles Bartholomäus and Judas Thaddäus . The Marienkapelle was the burial chapel of the Lords of Khuenburg. In the south wall, the coat of arms grave plates of Gandolf von Khuenburg († 1493) and Christoph von Kheunburg († 1542) are embedded. The holy water font in the chapel is marked 1424.

The altar in the Marienkapelle was built around 1680. It consists of an aedicula above a high base, a small aedicule as a top, a cartilage frame as a crown and cartilage-decorated ears on the sides. The central niche contains a figure of Our Lady with a child in a halo. The top picture shows the donors, the top is a picture with Saints Martin and Sebastian .

Above the triumphal arch there is a plastic representation of the Holy Trinity from the end of the 18th century.
