The well-fortified Gothic church has a three-bay nave and a three-bay choir of the same width and two Gothic chapels to the south. The mighty tower stands north of the nave and the sacristy stands north of the choir. Outside the choir are the remains of a remarkable large fresco (1488). The choir and nave are vaulted with mesh ribs, some with painted keystones. On one window there are stained glass from 1490. The classicistic high altar with a figure of Michael dates from 1837. In each of the chapels there is an altar from the 17th century. A late Gothic prayer chair is remarkable.

A painted canopy from the 18th century is kept in the church.

The late Gothic, Baroque-style pilgrimage church was the Thurnhof palace chapel until 1859. The exterior of the building, restored in 1993, has a three-axle nave, a low choir with a 3/8 end and a wooden roof turret with a pointed helmet. The main altar with the image of the Virgin Mary and offering portals is from 1690. In the church there are several votive images and a coat of arms painted on wood (Grossing family) from 1570.

The church, consecrated in 1926, was built on the northern slope above the city based on a design by Matthias Unterberger, and the exterior was restored in 1995. It is a romanized long building with a tower in the southeast corner, the hall with a flat barrel, and a 3/8 apse. On the east side aisle extension divided by a gallery. The altarpiece "Good Shepherd" is by Engelbert Lenard.

The Marienkapelle was built as the burial chapel of Johann Moro in the former cemetery, today's Peace Park, and consecrated in 1859. It has been the grave chapel of the Frenzl family since 1880. Domenico Venchiarutti is accepted as the builder . The late Classicist building with a column front crowned by a gable is decorated inside with decorative paintings.

The nave of the late Gothic church was built after it was destroyed in the Turkish Wars (1478). The masonry in the choir with 5/8 end and buttresses still comes from the previous building, in the end of the choir there are remains of frescoes from the second half of the 14th century. Details of the facade such as window frames, all-round pointed arch frieze and cladding and attachments on the corners of the nave go back to a historicizing renovation from 1904. The nave is vaulted with mesh ribs, the lower choir is vaulted with ribs. The paintings in the vaults date from the end of the 15th century. The late baroque main altar and the side altars in the nave were created in the middle of the 18th century; in the south chapel there is a Gothic winged altar. On and in the church are some coat of arms tombstones from the 15th and 16th centuries.

In the 1990s, the remarkable sixteenth-century vaulted decor above the altar was exposed and the 18th-century architectural polychromy was restored in the nave. The castle, mentioned in a document in 1458, is a four-storey building with a steep roof. On the north side is a round portal, an angel's fall fresco dates from around 1800. A Romanesque church built here in the 11th century was destroyed in the Turkish wars of the 15th century and rebuilt soon afterwards. The ceiling of the vestibule is remarkable with its stencil painting from the end of the 15th century, which was still in the nave until the 19th century. The altar is marked 1670; on the altar table is a Roman epitaph.

The small late Gothic church with a choir with a 3/8 end, wooden roof turret and large pillar porch is marked with the year 1502 on the choir vault. The early Baroque color scheme of 1613 was restored in the choir; Wall paintings on the choir walls and a Christophorus fresco on the facade date from the same period. But there are also remains of another, older St. Christopher fresco. A late Gothic winged altar, which was the main altar of this church from 1502, now serves as a side altar; the current, early baroque high altar dates from 1652, another side altar from the 18th century.
