Phare des Triagoz is the name of a lighthouse on the Channel coast of Brittany , in the Côtes-d'Armor department , France. It is located on the small island group of Les Triagoz , which extends about ten kilometers northwest of Trégastel and twelve kilometers west of the Sept Îles . The lighthouse itself is located on the rocky island of Guen-Braz . It is a square tower made of pink granite from Ploumanac'h .
The lighthouse has been protected as a monument historique since 2017 .
history
The tower was built between 1861 and 1864 under the direction of engineers Dujardin and Pelau and equipped with Fresnel lenses . The automation took place in 1984. Its range is 14 nautical miles .
The lantern structure has already been removed and is stored in Lézardrieux .
Due to a lack of maintenance, the structural condition of the lighthouse is currently deteriorating rapidly and it is in urgent need of a complete overhaul.
