The Phelan Creek is a 31 km long right tributary of the Delta River in Alaska .
Phelan Creek is fed by the Gulkana Glacier on the southern flank of the northern Alaska Range . It flows in the upper reaches of College Creek , outflow of College Glacier , from the left and West Phelan Creek , outflow of West Gulkana Glacier , from the right. Phelan Creek initially flows south but soon turns west and eventually turns north-northwest. Fielding Lake to the south is drained to Phelan Creek. The McCallum Creek , outlet of the McCallum Glacier , flows into the Phelan Creek on the right. The Richardson Highway and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline run along the middle and lower rivers.
The river was named in 1898 by Captain E.F. Glenn .
