Phil Abramson
Philip "Phil" Abramson (born March 13, 1933 in Omaha , Nebraska , † July 5, 1987 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American production designer .
Life
Abramson began his career in film crew in 1960 with the film comedy Pepe - What can cost the earth already . As a result, he worked on classic films such as Bullitt and Like a Wild Bull . 1978 he worked for Steven Spielberg science fiction film Close Encounters of the Third Kind , along with Joe Alves and Daniel A. Lomino for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design nominated, but the award went this year to Star Wars .
Abramson also worked as a costume designer , art director and special effects artist. He died in Los Angeles at the age of 54 .
