Pacifico (singer)

Pacifico (* 5. March 1964 in Milan as Gino De Crescenzo ) is an Italian singer and songwriter .

Career

De Crescenzo practiced guitar and piano at an early age . He studied accounting and political science and in the meantime gained his first musical experience in the areas of fusion , jazz and rock . In 1989 he founded the band Rossomaltese , with whom he released two albums. As a soloist he only made his debut in 2001 with the album Pacifico , which earned him a lot of public attention: he won the Targa Tenco for best debut and was voted Newcomer of the Month by the readers of Musica e dischi .

After a tour and collaborations with Adriano Celentano and Samuele Bersani Pacifico took solo un sogno the Sanremo Music Festival in 2004 in part and published after the second album Musica leggera . In 2006 Dolci frutti tropicali was released , which also contained a duet with Samuele Bersani. In addition to his work as a songwriter, he signed a new recording contract with Caterina Casellis Sugar Music in 2007 , where he released Dentro ogni casa in 2009. Then there were duets with Gianna Nannini and Malika Ayane . The fifth album Una voce non basta , which was released in 2012, consisted only of duets , followed by the EP In cosa credi in 2013 .

At the Sanremo Festival 2018 , three songs penned by Pacifico were in competition, one of which he presented himself with Ornella Vanoni and Bungaro .
