Philipp August Gebhard

Philipp August Gebhard (born February 17, 1805 in Ober-Ingelheim ; † April 3, 1874 there ) was a Hessian wine merchant, pharmacist and politician ( German Progressive Party , NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Philipp August Gebhard was the son of the notary and government commissioner in the canton of Göllheim Johann Jakob Gebhard (1776-1851) and his wife Johanna Elisabeth, née Odernheim (1778-1825). Gebhard, who was a Protestant, was a vinegar manufacturer, wine merchant, pharmacist and brickworks owner in Ober-Ingelheim and married Anna Maria Elisabeth (called Lisette) born Paniel there on April 3, 1832.

From 1849 to 1850 and again from 1872 to 1874 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 2 / Ober-Ingelheim-Gau-Algesheim .
