Adolph Hill

Adolph David Hügel (born June 27, 1806 in Mainz , † December 3, 1887 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian civil servant , politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Adolph Hügel was the son of the real estate agent David Hügel and his wife Margarethe, nee Kiefer. Hill, who was of Protestant faith, married Marie Eleonore Auguste Mathilde née Eckhard (1813-1882) on May 23, 1835.

Hügel studied political science and law and in 1832 became an accessist at the Oberfinanzkammer Darmstadt . In 1835 he became secretary of the Oberbaudirektoberbaudirektion, in 1838 an assessor with a voice at the regional finance chamber and conductor of the cadastral office . In 1841 he was promoted to the Chief Finance Council and in 1854 to the Secret Chief Tax Council. In 1865 he became director of the senior tax office before retiring in 1871.

From 1839 to 1847 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 2 / Ober-Ingelheim-Gau-Algesheim . In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .
