Wilhelm Metternich (born January 2, 1788 in Mainz , † July 16, 1839 there ) was a Hessian landowner and politician and a member of the second chamber of the estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Wilhelm Metternich was the son of the court judge and professor of medicine at the University of Mainz Anton Franz Metternich (1754-1827) and his wife Christine nee Strack. Wilhelm Metternich, who was a Catholic denomination, married Maria Margaretha née Wissent (Wiesenth). He was a landowner on the Sandhof in Heidesheim am Rhein .

In the 1st and 2nd electoral periods (1820-1824) he was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the electoral district Rheinhessen 2 / Ober-Ingelheim - Gau-Algesheim .
