Philipp Evenburg

Philipp "Phil" Evenburg , born Magalski (born January 22, 1974 in Wattenscheid , a district of Bochum since 1975 ), is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , meanwhile pirate party ).

Life

Evenburg studied political science at the University of Duisburg-Essen . He was involved in various free groups for environmental protection, international understanding and social issues. From 1999 to 2006 he worked alongside his studies as a factotum at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . In 2003 he became a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in North Rhine-Westphalia , but left there in 2005. In 2005 and 2006 Evenburg worked for several short film productions for the director Sebastian Fritzsch , a. a. as production manager. In 2007 he went to Berlin and works in the educational field there. Evenburg has been married since November 2016 and took his wife's name.

He has been the press spokesman for the German Animal Welfare Office since March 2017 .

politics

In mid-2009 he joined the Pirate Party and was press spokesman for the Berlin regional association from March 2010 to September 2011 .

On September 18, 2011, he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives at number 2 on the state list of the Pirate Party in the Berlin House of Representatives. There he was a member of the Committee on Cultural Affairs and the Committee on Urban Development and the Environment. At the same time, he also ran as a direct candidate for the constituency of Pankow 6 , in which he received 12.2% of the votes.

In the House of Representatives Evenburg was the spokesman for the environment, nature and animal protection of the pirate faction. On November 12, 2013, he was elected as his parliamentary group's cultural policy spokesman. After the election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , he left parliament in October 2016.

In November 2016 he left the Pirate Party and has been a member of Bündnis'90 / Die Grünen again since January 2017 .

Evenburg is committed to the abolition of factory farming . In this regard, he was instrumental in the inclusion of animal welfare in the basic program of the Piraten Berlin in 2011 .

Evenburg is a member of the Foundation Board of the Berlin Nature Conservation Foundation .
