Philipp Grimm (born May 15, 1992 in Würzburg ) is a German marksman .

Life

Philipp Grimm was born on May 15, 1992 in Würzburg, Bavaria . He grew up in the Lower Franconian town of Volkach. Here he also began shooting sports. Grimm joined the Royal Privileged Shooting Society of 1443 at the age of twelve and was initially trained by his father Fred Grimm. After graduating from high school at Steigerwald-Landschulheim in nearby Wiesentheid, Grimm began studying business informatics.

In 2007 Philipp Grimm became part of the youth class of the Bayern team, and in 2008 he was promoted to the C-team of the national team. In 2013, Grimm and his trainer Jan-Erik Aeply became German champions. In the same year he was hired at the top sport of the Bavarian riot police in Dachau and has since been employed as a police sergeant. While Grimm is still shooting at the Volkacher Schützengesellschaft, he works in the 1st Bundesliga air pistol for SV Kelheim-Gmünd.

Grimm is an Olympic shooter and 39th in the ranking. In 2015 he celebrated the first European championship in Arnhem, the Netherlands, with gold in the individual ranking and with the team . Grimm had shot together with Manuel Heilgemeier, Kempten and Florian Schmidt, Frankfurt an der Oder .
