Philippe Adams (born November 19, 1969 in Mouscron ) is a former Belgian racing driver .

Career

Adams drove in the British Formula 3000 Championship in 1992 and finished second in the championship behind Yvan Muller . In 1993 he won the series. In 1994 he drove for the Lotus team in Formula 1 and took part in two Grand Prix races. At the Belgian Grand Prix he retired after a spin, at the Portuguese Grand Prix he finished 16th.

After the unsuccessful foray into Formula 1, he drove for Audi in the Belgian Procar Championship in 1995 and narrowly missed overall victory. In 1996 he switched to the Italian touring car championship and won the 1997 race in Magione in a BMW M3 .
