Philippe Laudenbach (born January 31, 1936 in Bourg-la-Reine ) is a French actor.

Life

Laudenbach made his screen debut in 1963 alongside Delphine Seyrig in Alain Resnais ' Muriel or Die Zeit der Wiederkehr . Resnais also hired him for the award-winning drama My Uncle from America (1980), in which he acted alongside renowned actors such as Gérard Depardieu and Nicole Garcia . Laudenbach also gained notoriety through his role as a murderous lawyer in François Truffaut's Auf Liebe und Tod (1983). Until 2006 Laudenbach starred in over a hundred feature films and television series.

Laudenbach is the nephew of Pierre Fresnay . He is also the uncle of animator Sébastien Laudenbach .
