Philosophical study texts

The Philosophical Study Texts were a book series for philosophical primary literature published by the Akademie-Verlag in East Berlin ( GDR ) , which had been published since the mid-1950s. It contains works from ancient times to modern times. The series appeared until the early 1970s. Some works, such as the philosophy of Buddhism by Erich Frauwallner , experienced several editions. The Prussian state philosopher and Jenenser university professor Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel is particularly well represented . Some of the volumes were published under license by the (West German) Meiner publishing house in Hamburg .
