description

The ship, classified as a "motor yacht", was rebuilt in 2008 and 2014. It is powered by two Caterpillar - diesel engines driven by the "father and son" concept - - a Caterpillar 3512 and a Caterpillar 353rd The two motors act via a gearbox on a controllable pitch propeller with a Kort nozzle . A propeller pod serves as the bow thruster , which can also act as an emergency drive . The ship reaches around 3  kn .

Six cabins, three single and three double cabins are available for the ship's crew. There is also a three-bed cabin on board as the owner's cabin as well as three cabins for guests, one double and two four-bed cabins.

The ship is equipped with a hydraulically operated deck crane that can lift 20 t. Several winches are available on deck . In addition, it can be equipped with a rear boom with a lifting capacity of 10 t. In 2014 it was equipped with an additional deck as a platform for the use of drones , which is installed above the previous aft deck. To use the stern boom, this deck must be removed.

Use as a lifeboat

Since August 25, 2014 the ship has been used by the organization Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS) in the Mediterranean to rescue shipwrecked migrants.

It has been used off the coast of Myanmar and Bangladesh since September 2017 .
