Pierre-William Glenn (born October 15, 1943 in Paris ) is a French cameraman.

Life

Pierre-William Glenn studied at the Paris Film School IDHEC and then worked as a camera assistant for William Lubtchansky , among others . He made his first film as head cameraman on television in 1966 and made his cinema debut in 1969. In the following years he worked with the directors François Truffaut , Jacques Rivette and above all Bertrand Tavernier . As one of the first cameramen in France, he used the steadicam camera to achieve greater flexibility in image composition with a handheld camera. Glenn received a nomination for the César for best camera in 1981 for the film Death Watch - Death Bought .
