The Pine and Hemlock Knoll ( German  about Kiefern- und Hemlocktannen Hill ) is a 14  acres (5.7  ha ) nature reserve near Wenham in the state of Massachusetts in the United States . It is managed by The Trustees of Reservations organization.

Protected area

The protected area, established in 1936 as a gift to the trustees, is completely enclosed by private property and a red maple swamp and is therefore not open to the public.

The area consists mainly of forest areas with stands of hemlocks , Weymouth pines and black birches . It is directly adjacent to the Wenham Great Swamp and the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary .
